I'm searching for confirmation of parentage for Robert Golden (b.1793, NY. d.1870, Neb.)...Robert married Catherine Alsdorf (b.1799). Catherine had an aunt named Marie (Mary) Alsdorf that married Benjamin Golden (b.1776). I am assuming that Catherine must have married a cousin, Robert, who is the offspring of that marriage. The fact that Robert's first son, Justice Benjamin, has a name that is a combination of Robert's probable grandfather's and father's names would support this theory, but I need proof.
