I am looking for descendants of Charles Hugh Lushington,Resident Councillor of Malacca,Malaysia from (1845-1846).Son of William John Lushington and Barbara Wilson.He was born on 10th March 1813 at Rodmersham, Kent and baptised there on the 23rd September of the same year. John Law Lushington was also responsible for nominating him for the East India College at Haileybury to train for his service in India.July 1831 - Notified of his appointment by the Honourable Court of Directors of the East India Company. September 1831 - Execution of his Covenant ( Bond for his good behaviour whilst in the Company's employ ). April 1832 - Designated with the rank of "Writer" ( clerk ) in the Company's service. 1832 - Arrived in India on 24th September. 1833 - Assistant to the Commissioner of Revenue and Circuit, Sarun Division and also appointed as Assistant to the Magistrate and Collector of the Division. 1835 - Employed on Settlement Duties and also Officiating Deputy Opium Agent at Sarun. 1837 - Appointed Officiating Special Duty Collector of Shahabad and Sarun and in the same year rose to the rank of Special Duty Collector for the same areas. !839 - Appointed Officiating Special Duty Collector of Behar. 1840 - Special Duty Collector of Behar. 1841 - Appointed as Superintendent of the Survey of the Zillah ( District or Division under British administration ) of Behar and given special powers. 1845 - Resident at Malacca. 1846 - Additional Collector of Chittagong. 1848 - On furlough 1850 - Returned to India. 1851 - Commissioner for the purchase of land for railways. 1852 - Secretary to the Board of Revenue, Lower Provinces. 1855 - Secretary to the Government of India Finance Department and ex officio Accountant General. 1862 - Resigned from the service on 1st May in India.
