Query Text: |
Looking for Shannon and Henry families of County Monaghan, Ireland. William Shannon born 1798, perhaps by a farm called, Four Ash Trees, Newbliss, Co Monaghan. He married Jane Elizabeth Henry there in Co Monaghan. Jane was born in 1801 also in Co Monaghan. Her siblings were a James Henry and Margaret Henry born in 1811, married William Hammon or Hammond, born 1804. The Henry's were also from Newbliss (near Clones). William Shannon's parents were James Shannon and Elizabeth Mayne of the townland Tully outside of Clones in County Fermanagh. The parents of Jane Elizabeth Henry were John Henry and Anne Farrell of the townland Drummands in Scotstown, Co Monaghan. William and Jane Shannon came to Augusta Township, Dundas County, Ontario, Canada in 1829. Is there any family back in Ireland waiting for us today? I want to visit the farm, four ash trees, soon. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
