Looking for Griffin ancestors. My 2nd great grandfather was John Nelson Griffin. He married Emma Gerow on August 29, 1857. The only other information I know about him is that he had a son named Walter Lewis Griffin, b. April 1863 in Beacon, New York and died August 23, 1925. Walter married Mary Ada Smith, b. 1862 d. March 1898 during childbirth. They had 8 children: William, b. 1882; Franklin b. 1883; Walter S. b. 1885; Emma b. 1888 or 1889; Howard b. 1890; Harry Lewis b. 1892; Mary Ada b. 1894 (my grandmother; first married George Bray [or Brae] and then Russell Hollenbeck); Ralph b. 1898. I would appreciate any information anyone can give me concerning this line of Griffins. I've heard that a Jewelry store one was once owned by the children/grandchildren - possibly through Franklin (Frank) or Ralph. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
