I am looking for my birth mother. I was born on January 31, 1968 in Oak Park Illinois. I know that my parents adopted me through Aid Association for Lutherans. I don't know much about my birth mother. The only information I have is that she was a single mother in her early 30's. At the time she was supposedly a hairdresser and came from a family with many artists. She had reddish brown hair and had moved to the Chicago area from somewhere else (the West coast?) in order to put me up for adoption. This is all I know about her. I am turning 40 in a few days and had always said I would like to find her before I turned 40. I know she was in a difficult spot when she had me and I only want to know more about her and possibly meet her. I have had a happy life and have no hard feelings about being put up for adoption. I think she must have been a brave woman to do what she did. Having children of my own, it makes me realize that I would like to know where I come from. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
