I am looking for information on Patrick Flynn b. 1811 in Ballina, County Mayo, d. 1891 in Keighley, Yorkshire. He married Ann (Nancy) Bourke in 1838 in Co. Mayo. Ann was born in Mayo and died in Keighley about 1890. They had 5 children in Ireland: Thomas 1838; Patrick 1841; Michael 1844; Bridgett 1848; John 1849. They then moved to Yorkshire and had 5 more: Mary Ann 1852; David 1853; William 1957; James 1859; Margret 1860. Mary Ann Flynn married Michael Kiernan in Keighley in 1876. Michael Kiernan was born in Co. Longford in 1851 to William Kiernan and Margaret Reilly. Michael Kiernan and Mary Ann Flynn had 6 children in England: Margaret Ann 1878; Mary Agnes 1880; Teresa 1881; Alice 1883; William 1885; Lucy Mary 1887. Michael Kiernan also had a son named John b. 1871 from a previous marriage (to another Mary). The Kiernan family then moved to New York City and settled in Manhattan in 1889. I believe many of the Flynn brothers, as well as brothers of Michael Kiernan also settled in NYC between 1885 and 1900. This query will continue with other lines connected to the descendants of Michael and Mary Ann- Hogan, Daniels, Cahill, Collins, all in NYC in the early 20th century.
