I am very interested in Daniel McEvoy / McAvoy's origins, all I have so far are census reports based in Rainhill, Saint Helens, Lancashire, England giving his place of birth as County Queens, Ireland. My grandfather James McEvoy's (killed 13th Sep 1914 France) brother William (Killed 16th April 1915 France) may have died without issue but I am not sure of this as I have not been able to find his service record prior to his death. My late father Ronald James McEvoy (25th November 1914 - 1987) used to refer to a Park Ranger cousin based in Australia; it is possible that this may be from William's issue.
