I am looking for any information on my grandmother Mamie Bell Carter. She was born in TN in 1896 to John and Susie Cashell Carter, according to her death certificate. Both her parents were also born in TN. Mamie married my grandfather Major/Marvin Dudley Tipton in abt 1914/1915, to my best knowledge in TN. Their children were James Francis, Willie Nell, and Marvin Dudley. I can not find anything on Mamie prior to the 1930 Census when she and my grandfather lived in KY. I have found a Mamie B. Carter, age 13 living as a servant with Jerry and Mary Belt in the 1910 Macon Co. TN census, but I have no way of knowing if this is my Mamie or not. My grandmother died in KY in 1934 and both my grandparents are buried in Henry County, KY. ANY information would be appreciated!! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
