Looking for information on Benjamin PUGH and his children.Benjamin was born about 1836 in North Carolina. He was a slave owned by Thomas J. PUGH living in Lewiston-Woodville Township, Bertie County, North Carolina. Benjamin married Frances PUGH also a slave born about 1841 in North Carolina. They had twelve children all born in North Carolina, the younger five in Lewiston - Woodville, Bertie, NC: Rachel b 1861, Martha b 1862, Laura b 1864, Tempie b 1864-6, Sarina b 1866, Mary b 1867, Whitmill A. b 1869, Charity b 1871, St. Elmo b 1874(my great- grandfather), Pattie b 1876, Sadie b 1878, Easter b 1879. I would like to know if Benjamin and Frances and any other children. I would like to know if Benjamin's daughters married and had children. St. Elmo(my great-grandfather) moved to Norfolk Virginia in the late 1890s.He married Fannie Mae JONES born 1879 in Palmer Springs, Mecklenburg, Virginia to Leon JONES and Lara ALEXANDER.
