My Grandfather was David McKenzie, born Dublin 1913, the illegitimate son of Christina Murtagh and a Mister McKenzie. They could not marry as he was Protestant & she, Catholic. I know very little about this Mister McKenzie,not even his first name, but I believe he came originally from Northern Ireland, possibly Belfast and moved to Dublin to study.
