Query Text:

I am looking for a decendant of, or information on any of these family names listed. As far as I'm aware they were from vanstralenstraat 98 antwerpen, had a property in landelies, blackforest, labbe came from the liege. Names: Pierre Dekeyser & Caroline dekeyser(Vandenbergh) had a child Julia Joephine Pauline Dekeyser(born in louvain, Belgium)(died June 1953 in dee Why, Australia). Julia Josephine Pauline Dekeyser married Emile Labbe', children were Emile, Jeanne, Caroline, Simone. One of the children Caroline julia sarah Labbe' Born 26/10/1896 in Belgium, and died at 92years in 1989 in Dee Why. She was in Aust. 72 Years. married William George Kennith Ward in Belgium in the early 1900's. then moved to Australia in 1921 and had 6 children: Kenneth, Frank, Reginald, Harry, Phyliss, and Doris. Emile Labbe was apparently a match manufacturer. The family fled belgium when Germans shot their gardener at their country house. I think they fled North then to England and got by working in a factory until they were to return to belgium. Their daughter, my great grandmother, caroline Labbe' (Ward) was disowned from the family in the name of religion as her husband was not Catholic. However her mother Julia Labbe' came to live with her daughter in Australia in her late years, and also died here. She was told to pull all her teeth out and get dentures as the family believed Australia did not have dentists. One of the relatives lived in the Liege and had some sort of forest, however he had that taken from him and fled to Belgium. My grandmother had given my grandmother a gold watch with rubies in it that she had brought to Australia with paintings and such, it was inscibed on the back as a gift from the tsar of Russia. We have photos of a relative in the congo in a hand drawn cart. Pierre Dekeyser was apparently a Timber Merchant. Caroline Labbe' was brought up by maids, was educated and used several languages. Caroline's family had a family coat of arms or crest. One of her relatives was and advisor or worked for Napolean. Another relative went with a general perhaps to cairo. This is the basic info I have. If anyone or a relative is out there who has any more information they'd like to share with me I would be greatful. My email address is attached, I would love to hear from you.
