My great-grandfather is Bernhard Gulbrandsen. He was born on Dec. 7, 1866 on the Bolkeneie farm near Jevnaker, Norway. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1883. He married Marta Olsdotter Eriksson from Värmland, Sweden. They lived in Sacred Heart, MN, U.S.. They had 9 children, but only 6 lived to an adult age: Mathilda Inga, Alma Oline, Grover (d), Gunda Olivia (d), Beda Melvine, Hulda, Grover Oliver (d), Grover Odin (Odean, O'Dean, Dean), Adeline Harriet.
