I am seeking decendants of my great grandfather and grandmother Thomas McCrail (McGreal) and Mary A McCrail(McGreal) Malone, nee Daily.I think they were married in County Mayo Ireland and came to Fall River Mass somewhere in the 1870's or late 1860's as they were in the 1880 census. They had three children Thomas, Mary A (my grandmother) and Margaret. I am looking for McGreal's in Mayo and Malone's in Mayo ??, I did a preliminary search and found that McCrail was not an Irish name and that their name was probably McGreal and ws changed when they came to the US. Mary A McGreal/Malone also had a sister named Sarah who was living in Fall River and probably came to the US with Mary and Thomas. I have been unable to locate any records, marriage, cemetery, etc. that would definitely indicate that they came from Mayo but research done previously seems to indicate this. Thomas the son moved to Rhode Island and was in the 1920 census there with his family. His mother, my great grandmother was living with him in East Providence prior to her deather in May of 1931. I would appreciate any help as I am trying to locate where they were from in Ireland. I will be going to Ireland again next year 2009. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
