ANGLE, BROWER, CHROWL, COFFMAN, HISER, MCGUIRE & RUDY Seeking date and place of marriage of Daniel RUDY (probably in PA,MD or VA about 1768) to _______ (name of wife unknown). Daniel RUDY was born about 1745 place unknown, but definitely of German or Swiss heritage. He was in Frederick Co. MD in 1768 and in Bedford Co. VA (the part that became Franklin Co. VA) in 1786 or possibly before. His religious affiliation was with the German Baptist Brethren also known as "Dunkards" or "Tunkers." Daniel RUDY sold land in Franklin Co. VA in 1805. Several members of the family moved to Ohio: Daniel RUDY to Montgomery Co., OH. The marriage of a Daniel RUDY (him, or a son?) to a Susannah Noffzinger is recorded in 1807 at Montgomery Co. OH by Jacob Miller, Brethren preacher. Taxes were paid for 1809 in Montgomery Co. OH, Jefferson Twp. A son, Samuel RUDY moved to Jefferson Twp Montgomery Co. OH and in 1814 to R4 T9 S25 in Miami Co. OH; a daughter, Sarah Salome (RUDY) & Devault CHROWL moved to Miami Co. OH; & Anne (RUDY) & Jacob BROWER moved to Preble Co. OH. Children: 1. Samuel RUDY b.Frederick Co. MD 1770 m. 1795 at Franklin Co. VA to Sally MCGUIRE; 2. Catherine RUDY m.1794 at Franklin Co. VA to Jacob COFFMAN, marriage performed by Jacob MILLER, Brethren preacher; 3. Elizabeth RUDY m.1795 at Franklin Co. VA to John HISER/HISOR; 4. Fanny RUDY m.1798 at Franklin Co. VA to John ANGLE, marriage performed by Jacob MILLER, Brethren preacher; 5. Anne RUDY m.1798 at Franklin Co. VA to Jacob BROWER; and 6. Sarah Salome RUDY b.1777 in VA m.1803 at Franklin Co. VA to DeVault CHROWL. 7. Mary/Macklin RUDY/REEDIE m.1792 at Franklin Co. VA to Daniel PRESSEL and moved to Montgomery Co. OH. Frances RUDY, believed to be a sister of Daniel RUDY, married in 1791 at Franklin Co. VA to Daniel LEHMAN.
