baby girl,feb.14 1971 according to birth certificate.searh of any bio family,birth cert. states born at good samaritan hosp,cin,ohio.could have been born at saint joesephs infant/maternity home.(the adoption agency was a catholic social service/charity.mother spent time at st.joesephs maternity home.bio father unaware.bio mother had several siblings but only 16 yo sister knew of adoption.mother aprox 18.grandfather was in service at one time.grandmother had 8th grade education.i am a nurse and am very concerned about not knowing my detailed medical history.i know i have numerous aunts and uncles and probably cousins that may still be in cincinnati area.at birth i needed special orthotic shoes of some type.i am searching for anyone who can help me put together accurate medical history.i think i stayed at infant home 2-3 weeks prior to placement.my bio grandmother had thyroid surgery.she had dark hair and complexion but i think rest of family was fair complected.grandmother was of shorter stature.bio mom average height.father liked music and poetry.it was supposedly a "summer fling".thats what st.joe told me.mother member of national honor society.father french background.think mother was german,maybe irish.i am 5ft 5 1/2 inches.naturally light brown hair with blue eyes.hair was lighter-almost blond as a child.medium build,no major health problems yet.allergies only,some headaches.i have an older brother that was adopted 2 1/2 years before me-same agency but different family.i am now 37.i dont know anything specific,but i know there were at least 3 family members aware of the pregnancy-the bio grandparents and at least the one sister.i dont want to interfere or cause problems.i am a happy mother of 4 and just really want to know my medical history and heritage.as a nurse i see so many hereditary health conditions that require early prevention and intervention if their is a family history.the older i get this worries me.i have tried to think of any helpfull info but my adoptive parents said everything was handled very discreetly back in 1971 and the importance of knowing genetic tendancies was not known.my bio mother had many siblings,there were 5 0r more children, with my bio mom being the oldest.the grandfather worked in retail at some point.bio mom was born in california and moved to ohio at 6 weeks old.
