I am looking for information for Morten Olsen SMEDSMYRE born about 1656 in Nes i Hallingdal Norway. He married Kirsti Larsdatter born about 1665. They had four children that I know of. Lars(my grandfather,married Kari Gautesdatter), Halvor, Margit and Anbior. I can't seem to find anything for the surname "SMEDSMYRE". Would this be a farm name or an area in Norway?
