My Great Grandfather was William Murphy Hensley, said to be the son of William Hensley & Cealy Jones. Not to offend the Hensley family or Jones family, it has been said that William Murphy was adopted by my GG Grandfather William. Could anyone clarify this for me. Because I am not sure which William Hensley my GG Grandfather belongs to. It has been said Cealy had Murphy before she was married to GG Grandfather. I suspect that Willam if "Black Bill" Hensley is this correct. Also I was also told that Cealy maiden name was Wilson & was G-Grandpa Murphy's 1st wife Alice Wilsons sister or aunt. This has been a great confusion for the whole family. We couldn't get Grandpaw Carmen to talk much about his dad "William Murphy's" family life. I am not judgemental or anything I say they were people just like us, Who had to work harder and life is life. All the rest of Robert Burton Hensley connects from my Great Aunt Martha Hensley who married Silas Hensley son of Robert Burton. It is said that my grandpa Carmen and he were first cousins. Can any one Help. I am going to include a copy of my GrandPa Carmen maybe this can help some one to Identify things for me.
