I can't trace this name back any further than my father-in-law. It seems like the entire family does not want to discuss it. I have 5 boys with this last name who would like to know. Their father is no help. We were told that our family originated in Poland or Germany or maybe Prussia. The last name was originally Peckeronski and it was shortened and changed when they came to the US. I have researched a ton of different spellings, and have come up with some leads, but can always use more. His family settled around St Louis, Cincinnati, and Chicago, but I'm not ruling out anything else. I am willing to look for any lead. There is also a Schlessing (sp?) associated with this name as well as an Amanda Starr (sp?). Also, Hosna and Boshears and Lasley's have connections in some way with this family. The first names of Joseph, Michael, George, Frank, William, possibly Arthur seem to crop up over and over. Please, any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Linda | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
