I am searching for my father's birth family. He was born Samuel Lewis Berger on May 24, 1925. His parents adopted him in Kansas and named him Marvin Floyd Gordon. We don't know much about the birth father except that he was tall and older than the birth mother. The birth mother was 17 and from Syracuse. He was adopted through Louise Wise and his records are currently at Spence Chapin. I finally received his amended birth certificate which unfortunately was done in NY and not KS. His mother is most likely deceased at this point (as is my father), but I would love to have information on the family for genealogical purposes (and medical). Additionally, I have participated in genealogical DNA studies and have found a match originating from UK on the male line by the name of Laurence Eddie, currently living in Australia but the line is originally from Aberdeen, Scotland and the UK. Therefore if you know of a male Eddie/Eddy that may have had a relationship with a Berger in the early 20's, that would be a decent lead. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
