My Great Grandfather, James Robert Carlin. To the best of my knowledge he was born August (or October) 21, 1868 to Robert & Margaret Carlin, in Leith Scotland (as far as I know). His parents both died in an epidemic before or around the time James was 13. He may have had a brother Robert. James went to work on boats/ships as a cabin boy & ended up settling in New Brunswick, Canada around the late 1880's. We do not know any more than this. Would anyone know of any more information on James, his parents or more family history? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
