I am planning a visit to Newport RI in May. I am interested in finding information about my 9gr-grandfather Robert Carr(1614-1681). I would like to know if the cemetery where he was buried in 1681 still exists. I believe it was the Carr family cemetery on Mill St. near Sring St. His brother Gov. Caleb Carr's remains were moved to Jamestown RI about 1900. I would appreciate any information you could give me. Or perhaps you could direct me to someone who would have this information. Thank you.
