I am looking for information about Mary Narey/Nearey, who was born in Ireland, probably Wexford according to the UK 1851 Census. But this may be the Irish port she left from when she emigrated to Bristol, England, and could have been born in Kilkenny or nearby counties. According to the 1851 Census, she was born around 1826, and had a sister Catherine born around 1836. In the 1851 Census, she is given as Mary Nearey, unmarried, living with her sister and three young children - Robert Henry Nearey, born 1847 (Park given on the Birth Certificate), Richard Park (Park also given on the Birth Certificate), and Mary Ann Nearey. The father of Robert and Henry was Richard Park, my ggg grandfather. Richard may have also been the father of Mary Ann. But it appears Mary Narey and Richard Park never married. Robert Nearey/Park died in 1851. Nothing is known of Mary Nearey or Richard Park senior after the 1851 Census, their daughter Mary Ann, or Mary’s sister Catherine. But it seems she may have died before 1861, as Richard junior seems to have been an orphan by then, though no record of his parents deaths seems to exist. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Ron Wells Middle Earth New Zealand | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
