I am looking for info on my great grandparents James Kealey and Margaret (Doran) Kealey. I will relate what I have in the hope someone will recognize something. James was born in Ireland (I don't know where) around 1829 and came to Canada around 1857 with Margaret & 2 sons, Nicholas Doran and Moses. I think they were farmers and first settled in or around Nepean, On. Margaret was born May 28th, 1840 in Ireland. She and James had 11 children, 2 born in Ireland and the 9 others in Carleton County, On. They eventually came to Manitoba and settled in the Pembina Valley around Manitou, Mb. Nicholas Doran was my great grandfather. He was the only son to have any children. He had 6, 2 girls and 4 boys. One of his daughters was my fathers mother and one of his sons, Jim Kealey was a famous horse racer whose career spanned 50 years. There is a website dedicated to him.
