Seeking info on Daniel Morrison...b:1859/1860 in Scotland...Father: Norman/Normand Morrison/Morison Mother: Mary Matheson(??)married 2/3/1847 in Barvas, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland Daniel married Mary Calder( married 4/4/1888)...b:9/1867 in Bruce, Ontario, Canada..d: about 11/2/1894 either in Bruce or Kincardine, Bruce, Ontario..Mary's Father: Hugh Calder (1827-1898)b:Caithness, Sutherland, Scotland... Margaretd:Kincardine...Mother: Margaret McIver/McIvor(1835-1879) b:Stornaway, Ross & Cromarty...d: Kincardine.. Daniel and Mary had a son Robert Morrison b:6/29/1892 in Cleveland, CUYAHOGA, Ohio. I have documentation of that but they also had a daughter b:1891/1893 also in Cleveland..Margaret Calder Morrison ...d: about 1972 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan."my Nana"there is no documentation of "Nana's" birth..Her mother Mary, died in 1894 and in 1900 she was living in Detroit with her father, Daniel's, sister, Christine Avery..i have found Daniel in the 1900 & 1910 census' for Cleveland...occupation as a sailor/fisherman. The mystery to me is what happened to Daniel after 1910..Where did he die? Why was his wrong daughter living without him??? Nana married David Marshall Whitney, Jr( the grandson of the well known lumber baron in Detroit..David Whitney, Jr..b:1830 in Watertown, MIDDLESEX, Mass...d: 1900 in Detroit, WAYNE, Michigan Nana and David are my grandparents, and their son Charles Robert Whitney, Sr. and Beverly Jane Swetland ..b: 12/13/1922 in Coudersport, POTTER, Pa...d: 6/8/1997 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan are my parents...So any info on Calders and Morrisons would be great..
