We have been searching for a long lost uncle of mine for the past 30 years....His name was Johan Jaakoppi Haavisto. Born 25/7/1887 In Ikaalinen Finland. He immigrated to the USA in approx. 1910...or so....My father Emil..also immigrated in 1912 to the USA and working in Montana...he met up with him only once...My dad went back to finland to marry and later in 1926 came to Canada with my mother.. Much later on my dad heard that Johan had died in Minneapolis in the 1950's. I wonder if I have cousins anywhere in US. I hope I do. Joyce (Haavisto) Redden | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
