My grandfather was Elmer Jarvis, born in Battle Creek Michigan. His father is believed to be Edwin Jarvis. There is a brother named Samuel Jarvis who was murdered in 1940's in Montana. Just learned there was a sister, Alice Jarvis, living with a Mrs. Middaugh, in Detroit, MIchigan. They were separated for reasons unknown. At age 18, in 1904, Alice wrote a letter wanting to reunite. Results unknown. Is this story familiar to any Jarvis?
