Am looking for any information on Amanda Jane Smith, b-about 1821 in TN. She married John Archibald Hix, Dr. in 1837 in Saline County, MO. Her father could have been Col. John Smith of Saline County, MO. Who was her mother? Col. John Smith married Martha M. Hix in about 1828. Amanda's children were Erasmus b-1838, Mary Ellen b- 1843, Medora b-1845 and Emma Hix b-1847. All born in Missouri. Any information on this family would be helpful.
