Looking for any relations in Dublin or outside who may have connections to the Clarke's or Carrolls. I have traced the rest of the family Fitzsimons & Molloys as far as I can apart from one Molloy. He went to the UK Wiltshire we think from Dublin, he was to be a jockey think worked at a stable or stud in Wiltshire, we think he married and had children in the UK as he never returned to Ireland. WILLIAM (PATRICK) MOLLOY. Also looking for relations in Dublin and elsewhere who could be direct descendents of a family called Clarke. 4 children we think were orphaned all born in the late 1800's, circa 1890 ish, they were James, Edward, Patrick & Kathleen. Kathleen went on to marry a Joseph Molloy and had 3 children with Joseph, Josephine, Kathleen & Joseph. Joseph Molloy senior was born in Queens County (Ofally/Laois borders) in 1864 and was married before he married Kathleen Clarke. His first marriage bore him 8 children but according to the census in 1911 there were only 4 alive at that time, 3 living with him and 1 William who had gone to Wiltshire. Would love to find out who Joseph's first wife was and how and when she died. Would love to trace Willie's children/family in the UK - are you a descendant of Willie - do you have horse racing in your blood and your Dad or Granddad orginally came from Dublin? As for the CARROLLS, my great grandmother was Florence Carroll born Dublin 1879, her mother was Sarah Carroll and think her father was John, Florence had 2 sisters alive at the time of the 1911 census Annie & Martha, Martha was single and Annie married to William Boyd, Annie died we think and so did Florence, Martha went on to marry William Boyd and bring up Florence's 3 orphaned children, as Florence's husband James Carroll had also died prior to her at sea. Sarah Carroll, Florence's Mam had had 11 children in total but only 3 alive in 1911 census. Any info greatly appreciated. I think we have found cousins in the US through this site, just confirming the certs and all - it really does help!
