Query Text: |
Sir / Madam My maternal great, great grandfather, William Bashford, married a Margaret Ferguson on October 2 1798 and nine children were born of this marriage. The marriage took place in St Finbarr's C of I Church in Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan, Ireland. The siblings names are as follows; William Ferguson, George, John Henry, Elizabeth, Henrietta, Selina Elizabeth, Mary Anne, Edward Francis and Frederick George, my grandfather. I have accounted for five of these children, but I am still searching for details of William Ferguson, George, John Henry and Elizabeth. However, I did discover that George and John Henry enrolled in Law school in 1818-1820 William Bashford was an attorney with offices both in Dublin and Carrickmacross. I also seek knowledge of an uncle, Thomas George St John Bashford who fought with Nelson at the Battle of Copenhagen in 1801. Please make contact if you have any information or are a relative of mine. yours truly, George P Kearns | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
