I am interested in finding information regarding my great great grandfather Freeman Henry Winchester, born in VT in about 1795. Freeman Henry Winchester last showed up on census records with his wife Martha Cleveland (born in NY, 1800), son Clark and daughter-in-law Margaret in the 1880 census for Taylor Township, Harrison County, IN. (In 1870 he was with family members in Greenville, Floyd County, IN) Freeman's wife Martha and some family members are in the Louisville, KY directory of 1887, and in the 1890 Louisville directory where she is shown as "widow (of) H." Neither Martha or Freeman appear to be buried with family members in the Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville. It is likely that Freeman died in IN, then the family moved to Louisville, KY, where Martha later died. She is probably buried by her husband in IN. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
