My great-great-grandfather William B. Roberts was born in 1798 in Henrico County Virginia. Apparently his father died when he was young and his mother remarried. I do not know his father's name and have been unable to find it in the usual online genealogy sources. I think his mother's name was Elizabeth, maiden name unknown. She apparently remarried after the death of her first husband , and her second husband's name was Ephraim Wilson,the marriage occurring February 14, 1812 in Chesterfield.Elizabeth Roberts may have had another child, Anna Stringer Roberts who married a William G. Jones in 1817. Some sources have indicated that William B. Roberts father's name was William and his wife's name was Nancy Toombs, and another child born in 1793 was named Lucy. I do not believe this to be true since it seems to contradict family records but it still could be. I would greatly appreciate any information available on the Roberts family in Virginia. Some family records indicate that one of these Roberts served in the Revolutionary war with his friends and relatives in the Wilkinson and Cashion family. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
