I am looking for my grandmother's MOORE family from IL. Mary Alice Moore born 1893 in IL. died 1968 in Rock Falls, IL. 1st husband: Clark Upstone + had a son,William. Clark died 4/23/1922 2nd husband: Allen W. Bower,from Mt. Carroll, IL adopted Wm. + together they had a daughter, Kathryn Jeanne (Kroger)my mother Parents: John Patrick Moore + Catherine Condon. John P. worked for the railroad as did some of his sons. I believe their families arrived in the US during the famine. Siblings: Lillian Catherine(married = +) Sid Brown/5 children John(Jack)Leonard + Geneveve Orpachevsky/4 children Joseph + Florence ?/6 children Eugene + 2 wives Daniel + Bess/ ? children William, died in his 20's James + Helen/ 2 children Donald + ? I believe that my uncle Eugene was the Master of the Yards (railroad)in Chicago. Some siblings lived in Chicago, Indiana,Uncle Joe's family lived in Dixon, IL. During the Depression Mary + Allen moved to Mt. Carroll, Il. to his family's farm. Afterward they lived the rest of their lives in Rock Falls/Sterling, IL. Mary's son by Clark, William (Bill) Bower married Elsie Sopko sp? in Chicago and moved back to Rock Falls, IL. to raise his family of 2 children Karen + Christopher. I must have tons of relatives out there and would mean a lot to me to find them. Can anyone help out with some Moore information? Thanks! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
