DIGGINS

Query Text:

I would like information on John Diggins. He was supposedly Scottish and fought in the Am Rev.War. He lived in New York and married a mohawk. He had a son Samuel who was born in 1794. I don't know if Samuel was born in Pa. or just lived there. One source said that he was born there and in that case there should be information on his father John. Chances are that he fought in the New York militia. He is not in the Am. Rev War records in Washington. Many of the New York militia records were burned when the state capital was burned in Albany. There might be militia records somewhere else. Does anyone have information on John. My maiden name is Diggins.
