My Great, Great Grandfather was Fred Fischer. The story that I remember being told was that he was a run-a-way, last name of Fielder went to some people with the name of Fischer and took on that name. He was born approximately 1860, He married Elizabeth Behn in 1879, inMarhfield WI. He died around 1898. His parents were listed as John and Christene (Oaks)Fischer. Does anyone have any history that you can provide to me.
