Looking for additional information and or verification of existing data. Annetje De Hooges was born in 1650 in Rensselaerwyck, Albany County New Netherland. She married Warnaar Hornbeck (Hornbeek) in 1671 in Hurley, Ulster County New York. She is one of five children born to Anthony de Hooges and Evaatje A Bradt. Her Siblings were Johannes, Maricken, Catherina and Eleanora Annetje died in 1688 in Ulster New York. Anthony de Hooges was born the 14th of December 1620 in Amsterdam, Noord Holland; he died the 11th of October 1655. He married Evaatje (Eva) Albertse Bratt on the 20th of October 1647 in Rensselaerwyck, Albany County New Netherland. Anthony is the one of five children born to Johannes de Hooges and Maria Tijron. His siblings were; Johannes, Katharijna, Marije, and Leonora. Anthony de Hooges sailed to New Amsterdam aboard the Coninck David on June 30th 1641 while in the employ of Kiliaen van Rensselaer; a patroon. He did not reach Rensselaerwyck until April 10th 1644. According to the History of New Netherlands, Anthony de Hooges was a patentee for a lot in Beverswyck, 23 April 1652. He was credited, from 11 May 1652 to 11 Oct. 1655, with a salary of 360 a year as secretary, and for the same period with a salary of f. 100 as "gecommitteerde," also with f. 56 for salary as voorleser (reader in the church) during two months and one week in 1653. Anthony de Hooges died on the 11th of October 1655 in Albany New York. Johannes De Hooges was born in 1590 (1588) in Mechelin Belgium. He married Maria Tijron on the 21st of March 1608 (1607). His immigration date to New Netherland is not known at this time. Johannes is the only known child of Jan de Hooges and Catalina De Draijere. Johannes date of death has not yet been determined Jan De Hooges was born in 1560 (1566) in Holland or Belgium. He married Catalina De Draijere in 1587, exact date and location not known. The de Hooges name became extinct in this country. Anthony de Hooges had only one son, and that one son had only one son who died in infancy. While on this voyage he kept a journal which was published by Van Rensselaer Bowler manuscripts and contains approximately 600 pages.
