my grandma gave birth to a child in or near clinton iowa some where between 1953 to 1955 she will not tell us if the baby was male or female. the only thing she will tell us is that she was supposed to be marrying my grandfather who was in boot camp for the war, she was with some man that she worked with in rochelle il area. she became pregnant and her father said he would disown her if she did not give the baby up for adoption, my grandfather agreed to still marry her as long as she gave the baby away. she had the baby after staying with her sister in clinton iowa at a hospital. as much as she will tell us is that she gave birth and the nuns took the baby away. i am sure she knows more but will not let us know. i dont even know if the baby was male or female. her madien name would have been hanson or hansen. her married name would be nelson. i am not sure what she would have wrote if anything on the birth certificate. if you have any info please let me know i would like to find this person. my grandmother went on to marry my grandfather and had three more children two sons and a daughter i am the daughter of her oldest son. she has brown thin curly hair, and blue eyes and a large nose...dont think that helps anyone but thought i would throw it out there. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
