From the family Bible it was written that Matilda was born on Nov.15, 1845. She passed away on Sept. 29, 1908. She was my great grandmother. She married George W. Allen on Nov. 22, 1869. She had Ernest (1877) and Sydney (1878) in Nebraska. Ida was born in Kansas (1881), and Edgar was born in Iowa.(1888) In the 1880 census they were in Red Willow, Nebraska, and she listed her birthplace as Iowa. Her parents' birthplaces were left blank. In the 1890 census they were in Iowa, Story CO. Her birth place was Illinois and her father was born in California, and her mother was born in Pennsylvania. She is my brickwall.
