I am looking for any information on the GLASCOTT family of Wexford area in Ireland. Specifically - I would like to find out about JOHN GLASCOTT who married SUSANNAH TREE (from Boston and Newfoundland) between 1782 and 1792. They died 1817/18 and 4 of their children (LUCINDA (who married a man named PUBLOW), ANNE (who married a VANEXAN), WILLIAM (who eventually went to Wisconsin) &JOHN)were sent to Canada in 1819/20 by an uncle - WILLIAM GLASCOTT. They settled in the Perth Ontario area. I have a lot of information to share on these parts of the family - except for John who has proven more elusive! The oldest child SARAH GLASCOTT did not come to canada. She married THOMAS HASLER Sept 14, 1814 at Whitechurch I believe. Thomas was an excise officer with the government. They later moved to England and lived in the Liverpool area and had these children (all born in ireland I think): Susannah Thomas - see below fopr more information Margaret William Lucinda Thomas married Charlotte unknown and had the following children: Thomas Glascott - see below for more information William Mary Lucinda Olivia George Arthur The 1901 census gives this information: Thomas Glascott Hasler 41 born Everton Liverpool admin district of Cheshire in Poulton Cum Seacombe . He works as a Packer Of Jams Pickles & Sauces . He married Margaret Jane Unknown and had a daughter Charlotte May (in 1884 I think) Please contact me with any information on this family. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
