I am searching for information on my gr-grandfather, Silas McSwain Smith born abt. 1843 in Marion County, S.C. and his parents, Isaac Smith,born abt. 1808 in Marion County, S.c. and Elizabeth (unknown) Smith, born abt.1819 in Marion county. Isaac and Elizabeth were married abt.1838 in Marion county. I can find very little info on them. I am hoping to find Isaac and Elizabeth's parents. I know Silas had silings named Caroline, David, Allen,and Sarah. There is another girl named Elizabeth but I do not know if she is a child of Isaac and Elizabeth's or a niece maybe.
