I am responding to a query posted on April 21, 2003 about Frank Rose from Cape Verde. My Great-grandfather's name was also Frank Rose who came from the Cape Verde Islands with possibly three brothers. He was believed to have lived in the Providence RI and/or New Bedford Mass area before settling in Ansonia,CT. Ansonia is apart of what is known as the Naugatuck Valley which was once very industrialized and attracted many Cape Verdeans as well as others to the area. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
