Does anyone have any information on the George and Mary Taylor family of Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, England? They would have been born in the late 1700s, place unknown but probably in Sutton in Ashfield. There are many IGI lisitings of children of George and Mary Taylor at that time but duplication of names and closeness of birth dates makes me suspect that there were two George and Mary Taylor families living in Sutton in Ashfield at that time. I am interested in the George and Mary Taylor who were the parents of William Flint Taylor born in Sutton in Ashfield in 1809. I suspect that his mother's name was Mary Flint. I can find many records of Mary Flints but none of one marrying George Taylor. There is record of the marriage of George Taylor and Mary Brown in Sutton in Ashfield in 1800 but if I'm right about two families this would be the other family. William Taylor married Ann Robinson. They had seven children. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
