I'm curious about my biological father. I was raised by my grandparents, in Bronx, New York. My biological mother, Maritza Rosario, is terminally ill, and sadly, does not have much time left. She told me that my biological father's name was Benjamin Cox, but i'm not convinced that is the truth. I am of mix-race: american, puerto-rican, fillipino, chinese, west indian, and taino indian (from Puerto Rico). I was told that my bioligical father was half west indian (from where, I'm not sure)and fillipino (supposedly, his mother is fillipino and father west indian). My name is Melody Rosario, I am 24 years old, born (Jacobi Hospital)and still living in the Bronx,in December of 1983. I'm not even sure if my biological mother, Maritza (nicknames: Mara, GQ)even mentioned that she was pregnant, had a real relationship with him, told him that she lost the baby--not a clue. She lived (she's been living in Rochester,NY for more than 15 years now)--or rather her parents, my grandparents--on Starling Avenue near Castle Hill Avenue in the Bronx (near the 6 train), around the time she was pregnant with me, and i was born. Maybe my biological father new a young guy named "Manny." Could have been related to him, or not. Manny was introduced to be my Maritza when I was around 7-9 years old. She told me that he was my "uncle." But then years later, I found out that he wasn't really related to me. I'm under the impression that they were some type of buddies. "Manny" was light tann complexion, appeared to be hispanic, was about 5'10, had small-like eyes, that made him appear as if he could have been mixed with some type of asian race. The name "Mingo" has come up recently, relating to my father. So I wonder how I could use this new piece of information in this search. If there are any tips, or any help whatsoever anyone can provide, I'd be forever grateful. Thank you.
