My parents were James Monroe Fancher and Shirley Sue Chancellor, daughter of Bowman Chancellor and Maud Arant of Bastrop, La. My paternal grandparents were Monroe Fancher and Alpha Bertie Sikes. I would like to know if anyone knows where my family originated. There are some dates that go back to the Carolinas and Missisippi but not sure whether it was my grandfathers side or my grandmothers. My father had brothers, George Monroe Fancher and Charles Robert Fancher, sisters Mary Fancher Pollan,Dorothy Fancher Riels and Irene Fancher Carruth.
