I am looking for information on the family of John Sykes *1791 Stockport, Cheshire. John married Circa. 1815 to Mary (?). Children from this marriage - William, George and Mary Ann. By 1841 the family had moved to Birkenhead. Mary Ann married in 1844 to John Alcock occupation Whitesmith. George *1828 (wife Susan) occupation whitesmith and William *1815 (wife Charlotte) occupation tinplate worker. I have a George Sykes *1838 occupation tinsmith(wife Margaret) who might have been a son to William Sykes, their children were Walter 1863, Charlotte 1865, Alice 1866, Clara 1870, Margaret 1873, William J 1875 and Emma 1878.
