Jones; Keel; Defo: My grandfather, General Lee Jones (born Apr 11, 1876; died Apr 20, 1957)came to Texas around 1900 from Tenn. I believe his father was T.G.(Green)Jones, (no dates of birth or death. First wife Sweeney (not sure if this is first or last name) had another son or brother to my grandfather whose name was Jess. Great grandfather also had had a second wife by the name of Ida Ellen Keel and they had a daughter by the name of Ida Defo. Jess Jones had children by the names of Alene Bowman, Sadie Newsom, Willie, Ethel Ruth, Jessie and Earnest (not sure if any of these are married names. I have not dates on any of these but believed they were all located in Tennessee. I would love to hear from anyone that can provide any information of my grandfather's family in Tenn. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
