I am seeking information on Atlas Stanton Bagwell who was born December 9, 1846 and died December 16, 1889 in North Carolina. Atlas S. Bagwell's grave is in Willow Dale Cemetery in Goldsboro, Wayne County, NC. Atlas S. Bagwell married Susanna Hood about 1869. Their daughter Mattie Corrine Bagwell was born September 10, 1870 in NC. The 1870 census for Raleigh, Wake Co, NC lists Atlas Bagwell who was a jeweler and his homemaker wife Susanna. The widow Sue Bagwell is listed in the 1900 census for Wilmington, New Hanover Co, NC living with her son-in-law F. L. Manly.
