I am searching for my biological son, born September 23, 1968 at the old Providence Hospital in Mobile, Alabama. I have been searching for 40 years. I have a copy of the orginal birth certificate and was not listed as the birth father. His birth mother's maiden name was french acadian from Lafayette, LA. The child was named Trey Douglas_______? . She was 17 at the time of his birth and I was 18 years of age. We were high school sweethearts, and were careless. We loved each other and at the time of his birth I was in the US Army stationed in Maryland. After coming home on military leave to get married in May 1968, we were both shocked at her parent's refusal and consent not to let us marry.I went to Vietnam in 1969, and haven't contacted her since. The mother was attended while pregnant by the nuns of Catholic Charities of Mobile, AL. She was in their unwed mother's home under the fictious last name of Vincent. Before I went overseas I tried to contact her while in Mobile and the nuns refused me access to her or even to speak with her. Her father was called and the police picked me up in Mobile and returned me home to Louisiana. We had a friend by the name of Cindy Daughterey, married to Steve Andrew, who helped us so much while we were going through this page in life. I wish at this time not to reveal the birth mother's name name on the internet. If you can help, please contact cdott70@bellsouth.net. Thank you. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
