Emil Thorn and wife Amanda (Koklen) had a son, Walter born in Illinois Dec. 24, 1888 and came to live near Brewster, MN. Gertrude was born about 1892 near Brewster, MN. Emil Thorn died about 1892 - 93, when Amanda married Herman Schaefer. They made their home in 1910 in CHRISTIANIA TWP, JACKSON, Minnesota. No info on parents after 1910 In 1915, he was united in marriage to Minnie Langerman and resided for a time in Wells Twp. Rice Co. MN about 1920 and then moved to Milwaukee, WI where they lived for 15 years. In 1937, they moved to a farm near Butterfield, Watonwan Co. MN and lived there until 2 years ago when they moved to Comfrey, Brown Co. MN. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
