i am looking for the decendants of willie lee bass. it is said that he came from the bering straits with his mother and father when he was a little boy. my mother told me the story over the years how he, used to make boomerangs and curved animals out of wood. so far i suspect that he came from the bass strait islands in australia, because it is said that he came to the u.s by way of the bering straits,they crossed alaska into canada and down to the ohio valley. this was in the late 1800's. he married della fuller. my grandfather their (first born )was born april 3rd 1908, his name was marshall bass. greatgrand father willie lee bass died in 1963 in dunn nc, at the betsy johnson rest home , it now a hospital. if you have any information please contact me. and may you find your roots. thank you. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
