my grandad came to uk in approx 1904 aged 2-3 his given name was manolinsky/manoilenko (changed to emanuel) although i have seen different spellings of it, (probably due to their lack of english or registrars not understanding etc) i have an alien card for him that states russia but i THINK he came from the ukraine snovsk/snowks, again this place had many different spellings i know they arrived in london and then sections of the family went to america and canada, so trying to find if there are any descendants who may have more info' or maybe i could help you with what i know thanks.... i have since found out two brothers came to London, 2 went to Detroit in USA and 2 stayed in the Ukraine, i understand the USA family used the name Miller, i have also made contact with a distant relative in Belarus, and have some photos of the area and graves, so would be great if others may want to exchange photos, as at the moment it seems i am rowing a 8 man boat single handed, I also have various names of wives of the brothers which include Cleot/Lefcovitch/Blumenthal/Cohen/Silverman/Solomon/s | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
